Outreach projects supported by the churches in St. Neots

acTios logo  - Assisting Christian Teaching in Our Schools.

In association with Scripture Union, acTios was set up to equip the Christian community in the St. Neots area, to serve the local schools.

It has achieved its vision to employ a schools' worker to

  • facilitate and resource Christian education,
  • draw together and complement the existing activities of volunteers and others,
  • pioneer and encourage new initiatives
  • and train and equip volunteers.

However, there is a desperate need for a team of volunteers to cover the local schools adequately.  If you are able to assist please get in touch with Dot Lundie, at 51 Honeydon Avenue, Eaton Socon, PE19 8PJ.

Besides employing Dot, acTios also funds other organisations, such as 'Challenge Team UK', which works largely in the senior schools.

You can download the acTios leaflet pdf document - opens in a new window if you want to know more.

Littlehey Prison

Churches Together in St. Neots supports monthly visits to Littlehey Prison, where a service is held in the chapel and the prison choir performs.

Christian Care Centre

The Christian Care Centre exists to raise money for local charities and to provide a venue for people to socialise.  Each Tuesday and Thursday morning, between 10:00 and 12:00, the United Reformed Church, in St. Neots High Street, opens its doors for people to pop in for a, very reasonably priced, cup of tea or coffee and a scone, or similar bite to eat.
